Kendall Jenner Denies Bruce Jenner Transition Story: Magazine Offers Retraction

Kendall Jenner claims she never spoke to Us Weekly about her father’s alleged transition. As rumors continued to swirl in regard to Bruce’s reported decision to become a woman, the magazine printed a story in which the model appeared to confirm the news. One day later, the magazine issues a retraction.

According to a March 19 report, the magazine has removed their Kendall Jenner story after discovering the freelance writer who claimed to have held the interview may not have been honest in regard to the story.

In a message to readers, Us Weekly wrote the following.

“We would like to retract the story entirely and have removed it from our website. We sincerely apologize to Ms. Jenner and her family.”

The magazine also revealed that after seeing Kendall Jenner’s tweets, in which she denied having spoken to Us Weekly, they reached out to the unnamed writer to verify the story. Although the writer maintains the quotes given to the magazine were accurate, editors eventually grew concerned “about the veracity of this interview and the circumstances under which it was obtained.”

On Wednesday, following the publication of the Us Weekly article, Kendall Jenner took to Twitter, revealing to fans that she did not speak to the magazine during the March 14 taping of Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast, as the site had claimed.

“How is it legal for someone to ‘quote’ someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted.”

“Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kendall Jenner was quoted as follows.

“I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters. He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”

Speaking to Interview in June of last year, Kendall Jenner gushed about her father, telling the magazine he was her “everything.”

“He always had the craziest speeches for Kylie and me growing up, good words to live by… My parents brought up Kylie and me to be workaholics. That’s something I really appreciate.”
