Taylor Swift is a self-professed cat lady. So when one of her felines, Miss Meredith Grey Kitty, gashed a nasty scratch on her gorgeous gams, Swift intrepidly turned the cut into a selfie and shared it with her fans, reported Us Weekly.
“GREAT WORK MEREDITH I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS,” wrote Taylor for the caption.
Using the same creativity as she does for writing her songs, Swift even made a pun from her bandage, writing “meOW” across it.
“Couldn’t help but make it into a pun, could I…” she joked.
So just how much does the pop singer love cats? As the Inquisitr reported, Taylor confessed that she envisions herself becoming a single cat lady, living solo in a home filled with cats.
Swift revealed a dramatic description of how she might be described in a few years.
“In five years time, she’ll be so afraid of everything, she doesn’t leave her house. She’s just surrounded by cats. So many cats, they’ve divided themselves up into armies, and she wanders around lint-rolling the couch that no one’s going to sit on because she’s afraid to have people over.”
As for the comment about Meredith owing her $40 million? Taylor reportedly had her legs insured for that amount, according to E! News.
Although that might sound like an outlandish amount, Swift is preparing for her world tour for her 1989 album. And if something more serious than a cat scratch to her legs forces her to cancel an appearance, leggy insurance helps her feel reassured that she’s protected.
She also has a second cat, Olivia Benson, so Swift is protected in case Olivia decides to learn from her older sister.
Taylor isn’t the only celebrity to insure a body part. Jennifer Lopez focused on her derriere, which is insured for $27 million. Pretty Woman Julia Roberts decided her smile is worth $30 million. And for the winning amount, Mariah Carey had a one billion dollar policy for her own legs during her Gillette contract.
And now Taylor has a new admirer. No, it’s not a third cat. It’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, reported PopSugar.
With the Lip Sync Battle show premiering in early April, The Rock decided to share a preview of his “Shake It Off” lip sync performance, complete with all the body moves and a caption that explained and challenged Jimmy Fallon.
“#LipSyncBattle OF ALL Lip Sync Battles… Channelin’ my inner @taylorswift And comin’ to take the title from @jimmyfallon #IJustShakeItOffBaby #RockVsFallon.”
