‘Dancing With The Stars’ Begins Its Tenth Year And Its Twentieth Season With Lots Of Surprises With A Brand New Celebrity Cast

Dancing With the Stars returns on Monday, March 16, with a brand new celebrity cast for its tenth year and its twentieth season. Fans can’t wait to see what the anniversary season will hold. ABC reported that this upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars is predicted to be the biggest and the best season ever.

Disney and Latin theme nights that fans favored will return. A new Spring Break theme will be introduced for the first time. Viewers will be able to watch their favorite couples through live streaming of rehearsals. They will see how the choreograph is going during the week and how the couples come up with their entire routine for the final performances.

Derek Hough surprised fans by announcing he is returning to the dance floor. He had indicated earlier that, since he is in the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall with the Rockettes, he would not be returning to Dancing With the Stars this season. He made arrangements with the show, and he will be back on the dance floor after all. Derek’s partner, Olympian gymnast champion Nastia Liukin, is a student at New York University. They will rehearse in New York during the week and fly to Los Angeles for the live shows. However, for the first time in ten years, we will not see Cheryl Burke. She left the show to do other things.

The popular dance competition show will have celebrity dancers ranging in age from 14 to 70. Dancers include a shark, a gold medalist, a singing icon, a disabled veteran, and a recent bachelor star. This makes for a great mix of people hitting the dance floor who joined the cast for different reasons. For instance, Robert Herjavec says being on Dancing With the Stars is helping him through his divorce from his wife of 25 years. Viewers will find out why other celebrities have joined the cast when the show begins.

TV Guide reported that The Bachelor star, Chris Soules, who is now engaged to Whitney Bischoff, is partnered with last season’s champion, Witney Carson. Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor, said about Soules, “I don’t see a connection between Chris and rhythm. He is the worst singer, dancer, rapper. He’s so horrible.” Fans will have to see for themselves and vote accordingly.

Be prepared to see lots of tens this season. Ten will not only represent the highest score on the paddles, but there will be a variety of other tens representing the tenth year. Watch Dancing With The Stars on ABC on March 16 at 8 p.m.
