Ne-Yo’s Baby Mama Monyetta Shaw Adopts 48 African Children

Singer Ne-Yo’s baby mama Monyetta Shaw might not be taking 48 children home with her from Africa but she has agreed to “adopt” that many children for one year, committing nearly $20,000 to the countries adopt a child program.

On Thursday Shaw announced that she will pay to adopt all of those children for one year. The cost is approximately $30 a month per child which means 48 children comes with a cost of approximately $17,280.

Shaw agreed to sponsor the massive number of kids when friend and “Football Wives” star Chanita Foster called her about sponsoring a child or two for her charity “Beyond The Game.”

Instead Monyetta agreed to sponsor 48 boys and girls from Swaziland, providing them with food, clothes and education for one full year.

If she was offering that type of cash in the United States she would be lucky to help raise 3 or 4 children let alone providing food, clothing and education for two Duggar size families.

Hopefully “Beyond the Game” does a better job than some “adopt a child” program that spend a good chunk of donor funds on operating expenses for employees.

Do you applaud Monyetta Shaw’s attempt to help underprivileged children in Africa?
