WWE News: Brock Lesnar Vs. Undertaker Angle Planned For Post-WrestleMania RAW

There have been many WWE fans who have been wondering if the Undertaker will ever attempt to get revenge on Brock Lesnar at some point in the near future. While there are no plans to have a Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker rematch at this year’s WrestleMania, as Lesnar will be defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, and the Undertaker will face Bray Wyatt, there are plans to have the Undertaker confront Lesnar after WrestleMania.

If Brock Lesnar decides to leave WWE at the end of this month, WWE’s way of writing him off of television will be to have The Undertaker completely obliterate him on the post-WrestleMania RAW. But, if Lesnar decides to re-sign with WWE, then it’s likely that WWE won’t have the Undertaker seek revenge on Lesnar.

It’s a strong possibility that WWE will hold off The Undertaker’s return until WrestleMania, where he’ll likely defeat Bray Wyatt, and make one more appearance the following night on RAW before disappearing for another year.

There hasn’t been much of an update on Brock Lesnar’s WWE status over the past couple of days, but the one big hangup on Lesnar re-signing with WWE is that he wants to fight in the UFC while being under WWE contract — hence Paul Heyman’s line on RAW: “If Brock Lesnar wants to spend the summer unifying the WWE and UFC Heavyweight Championships, that’s what he’ll do.”

If Lesnar returns to the world of MMA via the UFC, it’s likely that he’ll take on his biggest UFC rival Frank Mir in his return match. Both Lesnar and Mir have a victory over each other, and their second fight back at UFC 100 was the single biggest drawing pay-per-view main event in UFC history, so the UFC definitely believes that a third fight between the two would do big business.

If Lesnar re-signs with WWE, there has been talk of having him retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. WWE is becoming more and more nervous about Reigns being “the man” as we get closer to WrestleMania due to the fans’ apathetic reaction to him as of late. WWE critics have even compare Reigns to Lex Luger in 1993, and Kevin Nash in 1994, as both of them got heavy main-event pushes based on their look, and not based on how “over” they were with the fans. WWE bailed on Luger in 1993, but they did go full-steam ahead with Nash in 1994, and he because one of the longest reigning WWE Champions in history, holding the title for nearly a year.

Whether Lesnar retains the title or not, it’s likely that he’ll be off of WWE television for a long time following WrestleMania.
