Nick Gordon In Rehab After ‘Dr. Phil’ Intervention Show Taping [Video]

Nick Gordon has checked into rehab after filming a taping of Dr. Phil that will reportedly air on March 11. The news that Gordon checked into a rehabilitation center following Nick’s Dr. Phil intervention comes from TMZ. The publication does not name the specific rehab facility that Gordon entered, but they did report that it was Nick’s ranting about wanting to commit suicide that drove the decision.

Also, with Gordon’s mom, Michelle, telling Dr. Phil that she feared for her son’s life because he’s been battling with drugs and alcohol, as reported by Us Weekly, these factors amped up the need for immediate help for Nick.

According to the Dr. Phil page on Nick’s intervention, Gordon’s mom Michelle says her son feels guilt for not being able to save Whitney Houston from her tragic drowning.

“As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance. When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, ‘Mom, why couldn’t I do it? I couldn’t get air into her lungs.’ He won’t let go of the guilt.”

Dr. Phil released an image of Nick sitting with his mom on a couch, who clutches onto him as the talk show host sits across from the duo. Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend will talk about panic attacks and the trauma he’s been suffering through after Bobbi was found in the bathtub face down — as well as open up about his grief from losing Whitney three years ago.

Called a dramatic episode, the website confirms that it will air Wednesday, March 11 and urges viewers to check when Dr. Phil airs in their region. However, there’s a high likelihood of Dr. Phil’s interview with Gordon being released online first — at least in snippets and promo videos — as reported by the Inquisitr.

Meanwhile, Bobby Brown and Whitney’s 22-year-old daughter remained on life support at Emory University Hospital during her most recent birthday, March 4. It was the same day that Bobbi’s aunt Pat gave an update on her niece’s condition and continued to ask for prayers for Bobbi, who called Nick her husband even though later reports revealed that the two never officially married.

“Today is Bobbi Kristina’s 22nd birthday. And we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life.”
