Kim Kardashian Sues The Gap For Using Model That Looks Like Her

Kim Kardashian actually just went down a peg in my book (a feat I did not even think was possible). She is suing the Gap for a commercial aired by its subsidiary Old Navy. In the Old Navy commercial a model appears that famously used the slogan SOOOOOO Cute. She also was in a commercials where she sexily convinced

Well it isn’t the slogan that is bothering Kim and her parasitic clan. Kardashian is saying the model, Melissa Molinaro, looks too much like her.

Kardashian says The Gap used her likeness (Molinaro) without her consent. Even better (heavily sarcastic on that one) Kim is claiming that by sing a model that looks like her they sullied her reputation to the tune of $20 million dollars.

The Gap is mounting a strong defense and one of their arguing points is that Kardashian’s reputation is so bad that there is nothing they could do to make it worse.

Molinaro says in response,

“I just think the whole thing is a little silly. I mean, they held auditions in Miami, New York and L.A. to find this girl, and they wanted to find a Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas type of girl – I mean, (Kardashian’s) name never came up – it was not on their radar whatsoever.”

The situation wasn’t helped by the fact that three weeks after the commercial aired Molinaro started dating Reggie Bush, Kim Kardashian’s ex.

“What’s crazy about that is I’ve known Reggie for going on three years now. People thought that it was just because of the commercial, but I mean, I’ve known him for years. It wasn’t anything new – not for us.”
