Drew Barrymore talks wedding plans on Good Morning America

Drew Barrymore stopped by Good Morning America this morning to talk about her new movie, Big Miracle, but show host Robin Roberts wasn’t about to let her get away without talking about her recently-announced engagement to Will Kopelman.

In the interview, Barrymore said that she’s not rushing into thumbing through wedding magazines, checking out wedding dresses, or doing any wedding planning at all. Rather, the 36-year-old bride-to-be says she’s taking the opportunity to just enjoy the moment.

“We’re trying to figure it out, I think everyone expects you to kind of know right away what all the plans are,” she told Robin Roberts. “And I’m like, ‘Oh goodness, this just happened a month ago, do I not have it together, or is it OK to keep daydreaming?'”

Roberts rightly pointed out that it’s OK to continue to dream about her wedding. Barrymore insisted that she was content in just soaking up all of the positivity surrounding her engagement, and is enjoying the happiness of her new fiancé. She’ll get to the wedding planning when she’s ready.

“I root for his happiness and people’s happiness and this is a really positive story and positive time and I like positivity, I’m drawn to it!” she said.
