Tim Gunn is Celibate, Hasn’t Had Sex in 29-Years [Video]

Tim Gunn revealed quite a bit about his personal life on the new ABC daytime lifestyle show “The Revolution.” Gunn said that he is celibate and hasn’t had sex for over 29-years.

When therapist Tiffanie Davis Henry said that many couples have no sex or low-sex relationships, Gunn revealed that he has been celibate for 29 years. Gunn said:

“I haven’t had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No. Not even remotely.”

Gunn went on to explain the reason for his celibacy, saying:

“I was in a very intense relationship for a long time and my partner ended it. Quite frankly, he was impatient with my sexual performance… It was at the cusp of AIDS, and I think a lot of people simply retreated because they were concerned about their health. I certainly was. I’m happy to be healthy and alive, quite frankly.”

Gunn, who is openly gay, said that he doesn’t have a rule that prohibits him from sex and despite his celibacy he is quite happy with his life. Gunn added:

“I am a perfectly happy, fulfilled individual… I have feelings. It’s not as though I’m some barren forest… I don’t want to imply to anyone that I have a mandate that says no sex. I don’t. I don’t know what’s around the corner.”
