Who wouldn't want to be Katy Perry? Perry performed at the Super Bowl halftime show, she's also performed at the Grammys, and she has a rumored relationship with John Mayer. How could you not want to be her? Well, you might just get the chance to live the dream.
Katy Perry has signed a five-year deal with Glu Mobile, the same company that developed the Kim Kardashian game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The mobile game developers said that the game will feature "Katy's voice, likeness, and personality," according to the New York Post. And what is the purpose of this game?
The game "will introduce players to a digital playground of global success and talent." Other than that, Glu Mobile seems to be trying to keep much of Katy Perry's new game under wraps.
According to Niccolode Masi, Glu's chief executive, as seen in the National Monitor, "Ultimately the Katy Perry title and its specificities will be under wraps until it comes out. But I think it's fair to say that it's not going to be a shooter [game]."
Masi added that in the new Perry game, players can expect "something closer to a narrative-based RPG," which "makes a lot of sense than an action-RPG for example." So you might just get the chance to play the role of the "Roar" superstar.
The game is projected to do even better than the Kardashian game, which was released last June. Since its release date, the Kardashian game has "boasted 28.4 million downloads, with users logging a mind-melting 11.15 billion minutes playing it."

So what makes Glu Mobile think that Perry's game could do as good, if not better, than Kardashian's?
Kardashian has a lot of followers online, "25.3 million Facebook fans and 28.5 million Twitter followers," to be exact. However, Perry has more, including "over 77.1 million Facebook fans and 64.6 million Twitter followers," which is why the game developers think it "should work out well for her and Glu Mobile when it comes to marketing the game."
Glu has made a good decision in choosing Perry for their next mobile game. In a statement from the company seen on the Christian Post, "Glu is focused on building the premier Hollywood gaming platform and improving the annuity characteristics of our franchises. We look forward to our growth in 2015 and beyond with confidence."
The reason Glu chose Perry was because "Katy (Perry) is a cultural icon and we expect to translate key elements of her success into an innovative, highly entertaining mobile experience."
