North West may have a fashion maven father in Kanye West, but the toddler is struggling to understand the fashion world herself.
The daughter of Kanye and Kim Kardashian had a meltdown earlier this week at her father’s Adidas show New York Fashion Week event, and when her parents tried to take her out to another show the tot had yet another tantrum.
The second incident happened at the Alexander Wang show on Valentine’s Day, where the 19-month-old girl had a fit in her mother’s lap. Dad Kanye West even broke out a smile — a rarity in public for the very serious rapper — to try comforting the young girl.
Kim and Kanye had some help in comforting North West. Rapper Nicki Minaj, who was sitting nearby, offered the little girl her hand and a smile to soothe her.
The show was very important to the Kardashian family. Kim’s sister (and Nori’s aunt) Kendall Jenner was walking the runway.
Kanye West thinks he has an idea of what’s making North West so upset. Earlier this week, after her first meltdown, Kanye suggested that the public scrutiny on his actions is wearing the toddler down.
“Maybe she was just scared for her daddy,” West jokingly told i-D after the show. “She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place.”
The toddler’s grandmother Kris Kardashian also posted a picture of that first tantrum along with a joke. She captioned the photo:

But apparently not everyone is cool with North West and her fashion show tantrums. Wintour was reportedly peeved at the disturbance, and others criticized Kim and Kanye for keeping their crying daughter in the show, and the New York Daily News noted that Anne Slowey asked, “Couldn’t they leave it backstage?”
