Lisa Hochstein Is Expecting A Baby Via Surrogate: ‘Real Housewives Of Miami’ Star Will Become A Mom In August

Lisa Hochstein is going to be a mom.

According to a new interview, Hochstein and her husband will welcome their first child in August, following three miscarriages and four unsuccessful IVF attempts.

“It did not feel real, almost unbelievable!” Hochstein, 32, told Us Weekly of her exciting baby news. “Although I was beyond excited and overjoyed, we did not want to get our hopes up too high until we passed the first trimester.”

On The Real Housewives of Miami, fans watched as Lisa Hochstein and her husband struggled to conceive a child. Months after season three wrapped, they looked into surrogacy as a “last resort.”

“We felt that we tried almost every option available to us except surrogacy. Adoption was a consideration if this didn’t work.”

Although the Hochsteins decision for surrogacy has resulted in a child on the way, Hochstein admits it “was a difficult decision” to move on from her dreams of carrying her own child.

“Hopefully in the future I will have this opportunity.”

Lisa Hochstein’s child is due on August 1, but according to the reality star, he or she may arrive sooner.

“The baby might be [born] on my birthday, which is July 24. That would be the best gift in the world!”

The Hochsteins haven’t yet found out the gender of their child, but when it comes to baby names, they’ve begun brainstorming.

“We are thinking he or she should have a name beginning with the letter L so we would all have the same initials,” Hochstein gushed. “How cute is that?!”

Lisa Hochstein joined The Real Housewives of Miami season two, alongside fellow new housewives Joanna Krupa and Karent Sierra, and while season three said goodbye to Sierra, Hochstein remained on board. As for a possible fourth season, that has yet to be confirmed.

As the Inquisitr reported last year, there were rumors claiming the show would return sometime in 2015.

“Real Housewives of Miami 2015 will feature the return of Adriana de Moura, Adriana de Moura, and Lisa Hochstein as full housewives,” LALATE reported. “With Marysol Patton expected to be upgrade back from reoccurring ‘friend’ back to full housewife status as well. Purveyors of Pop is set to return as the show’s production company.”

A short time after the report hit the web, a source denied any such thing to Radar Online.

“The show is NOT taping, and, as of now, has neither been renewed or cancelled. It is still in limbo, but I can definitely confirm that the show is NOT taping.”

Lisa Hochstein and the cast of The Real Housewives of Miami were last seen on Bravo in November, 2013.
