Kate Winslet Scoffs At Post-Pregnancy Diets And Botox, While Ripped Kelly Ripa Praises Benefits [Video]

After having three children, Kate Winslet feels no pressure to lose her post-pregnancy pounds. And the same relaxed attitude applies when the Divergent actress is asked about turning back the clock options such as Botox, according to MSN.

Kate explains that she doesn’t want to become famous for shedding her post-baby weight rapidly.

“Have I actively been on a diet to lose my baby weight? No, I haven’t. I genuinely bloody haven’t. I so didn’t want to be one of those, ‘Oh, wow, she’s back in shape after 12 weeks’ women. When I read things like that I just think, oh, for f—‘s sake, that’s actually impossible.”

Not only is she not actively dieting, but Winslet feels that she will never achieve the weight loss and toning needed to restore her body as it was before her children, Mia Honey Threapleton, Bear Blaze Winslet, and Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes were born.

“My body will never go back to what it was, and I wouldn’t expect it to after three babies,” commented calm Kate.

But at 39, Winslet does sometimes focus on the changes caused by aging, she told Harper’s Bazaar. Scrutinizing her face in a mirror, she offered a commentary on what she noticed.

“Not too bad… my forehead is definitely less concertina-like than it was before, and the pores around my nose – they used to be huge; it’s a family problem we have – have definitely closed up.”

However, Kate credits a face cream, not Botox, for the improvements.

“It’s this incredible serum – Lanco?me’s Visionnaire Cx,” she declared. “You’re going to think I’m just saying this because I’m the face of the brand but…this stuff is magic.”

Asked specifically whether she had ever used injections such as Botox or fillers, Kate was emphatic in her denial.

“Oh f**k no!” said Winslett.

Her attitude toward weight loss and anti-aging injections is a dramatic contrast to celebrities such as slender Kelly Ripa. As the Inquisitr reported, Ripa is famed for her ripped abs and sleek physique, and she is candid about the work that she does to achieve that slim body.

When it comes to weight loss, Kelly uses a low-carb diet plan and avoids processed foods.

“I eat a very clean diet. I have lots of vegetables, I eat protein,” she revealed.

As for Botox? Kelly Ripa is a firm believer, crediting the injections for helping her get ready for her show much more quickly, reported ABC News.

“It’s cut my getting ready time in half,” she said. “I’m not advocating for it one way or the other. I’m just saying Botox changed my life.”

However, for those who want to try the treatments, Kelly recommends using moderation to avoid the infamous “surprised” look of some Botox patients.

“The key to everything is knowing what you look like and being a minimalist,” Ripa emphasized. “Your cheeks are not supposed to block out your eyes when you smile!”

It’s not just women who flock to Botox for its anti-aging benefits.

During the Olympics, Bob Costas infamously developed pink eye. And the New York Post reports that his battle with pink eye was due to his use of Botox.

“Bob’s eye infection was due to botched Botox,” said a source. “This isn’t the first time he’s had it.”

In addition to anti-aging cosmetic treatments and a strict diet, Kelly also is an advocate for exercising to keep off the pounds. She shares a celebrity trainer with Sarah Jessica Parker and curvy Sofia Vergara as the Inquisitr revealed.
