Jo Dee Messina Gives Birth to Second Son

Not to be outdone by Beyonce and Jay Z, country singer Jo Dee Messina and husband Chris Deffenbaugh welcomed their second son to the family on Wednesday afternoon, the couple’s rep confirmed.

Messina and Deffenbaugh, who married in 2007, originally announced the pregnancy in October via Jo Dee’s Twitter account.

According to a statement issued by her publicist, Messina, 41, gave birth to Jonah Christopher Deffenbaugh at 2:43pm CT on Jan. 11. The statement added that Jonah, who joins three-year-old brother Noah, weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces.

Following the birth, the Bring On The Rain crooner revealed,

“Noah couldn’t wait to hold his little brother. He’s so good with him. God has blessed us so much.” That baby will be blessed to grow up with so much love in his life! For now though, hopefully Jo Dee is getting her rest!”

As for Messina, E!Online pointed out that she seems to be holding up well, thanks to one item in particular.

“OMG! Ice chips never tasted so good. YUMMY !” she tweeted late Tuesday.
