Casey Anthony: I Passed Out and Had a Baby 9 Months Later

America’s most hated mother told a psychiatrist before her trial that she went to a party, passed out, and woke up 9 months later with a baby. She was addressing the way her daughter Caylee was conceived.

The psychiatrist had ruled that Anthony showed no sign of mental illness and was fit to stand trial for the murder of her daughter. He found that be surprising being that Anthony had been serving time in prison awaiting trial for the murder. The psychiatrist, Jeff Danziger, said she was clam collected and happy even when talking about her dead baby.

He told the court,

“You would expect that would provoke some measure of distress, whether someone genuinely did it, whether someone was falsely accused. If my child was missing and I was in jail being accused of it, I probably wouldn’t eat and wouldn’t be cheerful and wouldn’t be able to read.”

Danziger said he was reluctant to divulge the depth of everything Anthony had told him. He said he did not want to be responsible for becoming a “vector” for Anthony to accuse people of something they might not have done, including her tales of sexual abuse.

During the trial Anthony’s attorneys had leveled the charges that her father had sexually abused her. Her father denied the charge vehemently and the defense didn’t offer any evidence to further the allegation.

Anthony was acquitted on the murder charges and released. She is currently in Florida serving a year of probation for check fraud.
