Mandy Moore reached out for answers on the same day that news broke of her split from husband Ryan Adams. Moore, who was in a marriage with the musician for six years, went to Instagram to post her frustrations. While she didn’t exactly address her crumbling marriage specifically, it was obvious that she was in some kind of turmoil.
Moore posted a photo of two traffic signs. The top sign reads “Mercury Retrograde” and another sign reads, “Proceed With Caution.”
Mercury retrograde refers to a retrograde motion within the planetary system. Some believe this unusual motion causes bad luck and unexpected change in events. Moore captioned her choice image with, “Message received. #thatexplainsit #theworst.”

As the Inquisitr reported, news broke that Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams were divorcing after six years of marriage. The private couple released a joint statement. “Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time.”

According to a report from People magazine , the couple didn’t show any signs of splitting up last year, when they celebrated their five-year anniversary together with friends. According to a source, the couple appeared to be in happy spirits. Perhaps Mandy really is on to something with the reference of mercury retrograde.
Then again, Ryan Adams had hung up on a journalist when they asked about his marriage. He then explained the situation with Buzzfeed to clear the air on the situation.
“Okay, so I just hung up because I was on the radio getting asked about my wife. I was really nice about it the first time, and I’m sorry, but I won’t repeat myself. The deal is this: I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever.”
Despite the actress-singer mourning her marriage some are taking to Twitter to react to the news.
