Mandy Moore Divorce: 6-Year Marriage To Ryan Adams Is Over [Breaking]

Mandy Moore is getting divorced. According to Us Weekly, the actress/singer and her husband, Ryan Adams, have ended their nearly 6-year marriage. The couple — married in March of 2009 — have always been very private when it comes to their relationship. It is unknown what went wrong between them, and the public may actually never know.

“Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time,” the couple said in a joint statement.

Mandy Moore spent many years of her marriage making music with her beau, but the two rarely made appearances together. They also chose not to start a family for one reason or another.

According to People Magazine, the couple seemed fine when they celebrated their 5-year wedding anniversary with friends last March. The two were very goofy together, and were laughing and having fun together. At that time, no one suspected that anything was wrong, or that the two were having problems of any kind. Of course, a lot can change in a year.

Just this past September, Ryan hung up on an interviewer who started asking questions about his marriage. He later explained his decision in an interview with Buzzfeed. Even then, things seemed okay.

“Okay, so I just hung up because I was on the radio getting asked about my wife. I was really nice about it the first time, and I’m sorry, but I won’t repeat myself. The deal is this: I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever.”

Mandy Moore hasn’t been in the news much lately at all. In fact, the last time her name was spotted in headlines was back in 2013 when she said that she wanted to do something drastic with her hair. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Mandy shocked fans when she said that she considered shaving her head — it’s a move that she ultimately never made.

“I’ve always wanted to really cut my hair, like, super, super short. I did once. I’ve always thought about shaving my head too. That’s always intrigued me. I don’t think my husband would object to it. He would totally be down for that. I think he’d think it’d probably be pretty pun.”
