Why Jennifer Lopez Hired ‘Manny’ For Her Son Max [Videos]
Jennifer Lopez is concerned about the lack of male contact for her 6-year-old son, Maximillian, since her divorce was finalized in June 2014. JLo decided the best way to handle the situation would be to get Max a male nanny, or “manny.”
In Touch notes Lopez, 45, is having problems with Max getting “aggressive” with her, and she thought that having male contact would help to calm him down. She also has Max’s girl twin, Emme, from her marriage to ex-hubby Marc Anthony, but apparently Max is the one playing up.
Speaking recently on Late Night with Seth Meyers, J-Lo said that the “poor boy is surrounded by women 24 hours a day.” She explained that on one occasion, she was just looking at him and he jumped on her, hurting her neck.
“He’s so aggressive, he’s six and he’s killing me. I’m like, ‘What the? Baby, no’. And then the nanny is like, ‘Ouch, OK Max.’ He wants to roughhouse.”
According to Hollywood Life, this caused Jennifer Lopez to finally decide that he needs a manny, as she put it, “a nice guy to come in and like hang out with him and have fun.”
Meyers immediately joked, “So you got an MMA fighter to come in?”
Lopez laughed and said she should have though it would have been more fun for her.

In an interview on The Wendy Williams Show, Lopez admitted she was recently wondering how her and Marc’s twins dealt with their divorce, which was finalized in June 2014, and what they would think about the couple’s failed marriage when they are older.
“The world has changed so much; I was thinking about this the other day. But I was like, ‘God, it’s so different.'”
She went on to say that when you were little, you didn’t hear much about divorces, but nowadays it happens so much more and couples now have to deal with other people’s children.
“Now there’s like families and you have to deal with other people’s kids and then their partners, and old partners and new partners and it’s like such a different world.
“Of course I was thinking about it because I was thinking about my children and how they have to deal with it and how they’re gonna deal with all of it, how they’re gonna grow up. What’s gonna happen when they grow up?”
