‘Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell’ Trailer Delivers Hilarious Infomercial [Video]

The latest Saints Row: Gat out of Hell trailer is a parody on infomercials, which won’t surprise fans of Saints Row 4 . Deep Silver and Volition’s fourth installment in the series is known for its tendency to poke fun at everything it can, including itself.

Previous trailers gave us a look at the various weapons and gameplay throughout the standalone expansion, as well as a Disney-style musical. The ridiculous antics of the game’s developers never seem to end, and many of the fans love it that way. Some fans of the series won’t see the humor because it changed the game so much from its Grand Theft Auto -style roots before going completely insane with its gameplay and references.

The launch trailer begins with a bizarre question.

“Has this ever happened to you? You get sucked into Hell to marry Satan’s daughter? Then you need ‘Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.’”

A followup joke tells us it’s the latest and greatest standalone game about saints, rows, and the Roman numeral four, showing once again that the developers have no problem laughing at their own efforts.

As you venture into the game, the Saints Row: Gat out of Hell trailer tells us we will run into various fictional and non-fictional characters such as Vlad the Impaler, Blackbeard the pirate, and Shakespeare. You can use brutal take-downs “inspired by real martial arts moves,” according to the trailer. Then it gives us a ridiculous list of side effects for said take-downs.
