‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ Website Shuts Down After 24 Hours, 1 Million Views

Ship Your Enemies Glitter is gone, and people who want to plague their rivals with the impossible to remove craft staple will just have to do it themselves.

This week, a site offering to ship a box filled with glitter to enemies went viral, prompting more than one million visitors to check it out within the span of 24 hours. Though the site was getting countless orders and generating high revenue, founder Matthew Carpenter said it was too much for him.

“Hi guys, I’m the founder of this website,” Carpenter wrote on Product Hunt. “Please stop buying this horrible glitter product — I’m sick of dealing with it. Sincerely, Mat.”

Carpenter said he intends to sell the Ship Your Enemies Glitter website, and in the meantime, the company has stopped taking orders.

In the part of the website that says “Buy Now” is the following message.

“Purchasing has been temporarily suspended. You guys have a sick fascination with shipping people glitter. We’ve received all orders & working through them. There was a tonne so be patient.”

The Ship Your Enemies Glitter site was well aware of just how evil it’s mission is, writing in the website description.

“We f***ng hate glitter. People call it the herpes of the craft world. What we hate more though are the soulless people who get their jollies off by sending glitter in envelopes.

“We’ve had enough so here’s the deal: there’s someone in your life right now who you f***ing hate. Whether it be your sh***y neighbour, a family member or that b***h Amy down the road who thinks it’s cool to invite you to High Tea but not provide any weed.

“So pay us money, provide an address anywhere in the world & we’ll send them so much glitter in an envelope that they’ll be finding that s**t everywhere for weeks. We’ll also include a note telling the person exactly why they’re receiving this terrible gift. Hint: the glitter will be mixed in with the note thus increasing maximum spillage.”

Carpenter didn’t say what will happen with Ship Your Enemies Glitter, but people who want to douse their rivals in glitter might want to do it for themselves.
