Syndicate ‘Deep Dive’ co-op trailer introduces us to the characters

We’ve already seen a good chunk of Syndicate‘s co-op gameplay, but we didn’t get properly acquainted with the four characters you’ll be playing as. Now we can, thanks to the latest trailer for Starbreeze’s reboot of the classic franchise.

We get to see some fresh Syndicate co-op footage in the trailer, but the majority of the video is spent familiarizing yourself with the four co-op characters available to you: Thomir Darius, Emma Thalos, Akuma, and Aidan Fall.

The trailer doesn’t get into specifics, but it appears that each character plays a different role in combat. Thomir appears to be more of a heavy gunner type, for example, while Emma and Akuma like to get up close and personal with close-combat weaponry and, of course, their fists.

Starbreeze Studios’ Syndicate reboot was announced back in September of last year, and is currently set for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 21. The lightning quick turnaround time had me concerned for awhile, admittedly, but the recent footage EA has been showing off has certainly piqued my interests. At any rate, it will be interesting to see how the game turns out.
