‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Sami Brady Not Returning To Salem
Days of Our Lives fans have been hoping that Alison Sweeney would return to the soap as Sami Brady ever since she left the show last fall. However, Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that it’s not going to happen anytime soon.
According to the report, Alison Sweeney won’t have time to pull duty as Sami Brady because she’s recently signed on to do the new scripted series Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder on the Hallmark Channel.
Deadline reports that Sweeney will take on the lead role in the show, which is based on the best-selling book series.
“Based on the New York Times bestselling series of books by Joanne Fluke, Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder centers on Hannah Swensen (Sweeney), shop owner of the Cookie Jar where much of the town’s gossip percolates along with the strong coffee. When a mysterious murder occurs, Hannah turns into a culinary detective and finds herself trying to solve the crime while getting caught in an unexpected romantic mystery of her own.”
This marks the first acting gig that Alison Sweeney has booked since leaving Days of Our Lives and Sami Brady behind.
Sami and her younger children left Salem for Hollywood, where a movie is being made about her dramatic life, and how she lost her husband, EJ DiMera, played by James Scott, to murder.
Of course, fans of the NBC soap know that Sami Brady’s presence in Salem could be greatly used right now. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Sami’s son, Will, has been distanced from his husband, Sonny, and even cheated on his partner with Paul Norita, one of Sonny’s past lovers.
The entire love triangle is very awkward, scandalous, and viewers can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Will Sonny and Will split and get a divorce, or can they work things out and stick together for daughter Ariana, who already has one parent in prison?
Meanwhile, it seems that Will and Sonny won’t be the only couple on Days of Our Lives to be causing a stir. Rafe and Chad are still at odds over Jordan, Lucas and Adrienne seem to be getting closer, Abigail and Ben have been getting steamy, Nicole and Daniel are back at it, Eric and Serena are taking things slow, and Hope may find out something shocking about her new boyfriend, Aiden.
Days isn’t lost without Alison Sweeney’s Sami Brady, but the fans sure to miss seeing the actress on their TV screens every day.
