‘Teen Mom 4’ Coming Soon: Spin-Off Reportedly ‘Highly Likely’
Could a Teen Mom 4 be coming to MTV in the future? According to a new report, the network allegedly hasn’t ruled out the possibility!
There was a time when it appeared that the entire Teen Mom franchise was going to get canceled by the network. The original girls had been let go after four seasons of the show. Teen Mom 3, meanwhile, was not successful, and was canceled after one dismal season. It seemed that Teen Mom 2 was the most popular of the series, but with Leah Messer-Calvert not signing on for a sixth season, the future of the show was unknown.
Fast forward to today, and things have turned around quite a bit. The original cast is coming back for a fifth season, albeit without Farrah Abraham. Farrah decided to pursue a different path, and was reportedly not asked back for the show. Not only that, but she has no problem with not returning to the show. However, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, MTV was on hand at one of Farrah Abraham’s last appearances at the gentlemen’s club where she was working, but it is unclear why they were there.
After deciding not to sign on for another season of Teen Mom 2, Leah Messer-Calvert seemed to making the choice that she felt was best for her family. The reality show star is going through a lot of drama, and likely didn’t want to have her drama played out on television. But in the end, she changed her mind. Fans are ecstatic to see Leah and her family back on the show.
The 16 and Pregnant Season 4 cast were offered spots on Teen Mom 3, and now Teen Mom Junkies is reporting that the fifth season girls may be offered spots on the rumored Teen Mom 4. They exclusively posted the information about a potential spin-off.
“MTV has not pulled the plug on a Teen Mom spinoff for this crop of girls. We can exclusively reveal that if the ratings for their catch up special were high enough, the chances of a Teen Mom 4 coming to your screen are extremely likely.”
This seems to coincide with things that the cast members from Season 5 of 16 and Pregnant were reportedly saying. Summer Rewis was retweeting fans who said they would love to see her on Teen Mom 4, and Teen Mom Central reports that Millina asked people to tune in so that the ratings would be high for a potential spin-off.
At the moment, a potential Teen Mom 4 spin-off is nothing more than a rumor. While it isn’t uncommon for MTV to produce these spin-offs after 16 and Pregnant (only the Season 3 girls did not get a spin-off), there has been no official word from the network.
