Blake Lively Has Her Baby, Feels Ryan Reynolds Will ‘Be A Great Father’
Actress Blake Lively is now officially someone’s mother.
The 27-year-old Gossip Girl actress recently gave birth to her first child, which also makes her husband Ryan Reynolds a first-time father.
Us Weekly reports that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their bundle of joy into the world over the holidays — shortly before beginning 2015 together as a family.
Lively reportedly gave birth in New York, close to the married couple’s Bedford home. Their child came ahead of schedule, but an inside source told Us Weekly that there were no complications.
“The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy. The Bedford house is all prepared. [Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are] going to stay up there for the baby’s first days.”
In an interview earlier this year with Us Weekly, Blake Lively was very open about her strong desire and dream of having kids. Even though she admits that she had no clue what she wanted to do for work, Blake did not have any doubts about wanting to have a lot of children.
“I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids, because I had come from a big family, so it was always important to me. So it’s just the excitement of that finally being here.”
Lively was not just sure about the fact that she wanted to have a big family. During the same interview, she was just as sure of her husband Ryan Reynolds being a great father to those children.
“[Ryan’s] going to be a great father and leader and patriarch — he’s so meant to be all of those things. The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he’s the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we get to grow from there.”
Being married was definitely unexplored territory when the 38-year-old actor married Blake Lively. Reynolds was first married to actress Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011. However, Blake and Ryan are both experiencing the ups and downs of parenting for the first time together.
Before Page Six first broke the news, neither Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively came forward through social media (or any other source) to confirm the news of their family’s new addition. As of right now, none of Blake Lively’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars and longtime friends had come forward with the news either.
Perhaps Blake Lively will post a picture of her newborn baby to her own official Twitter page soon.
