Gretchen Rossi Claims Bravo Wanted Her And Slade Smiley To Get Married On ‘RHOC’

Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley were reportedly presented with an opportunity to get married on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County. After sharing a photo of herself and her fiancé, the former reality star was accused of faking a wedding storyline in an effort to remain on the show.

“Me and my sweetie tonight @sladesmiley,” Rossi captioned the photo.

In response, a fan wrote, “They made all the wedding bs up for the show that’s why she was fired bc she just did it for a story line.”

Not one to go down without a fight, Gretchen Rossi denied any such thing.

“Haha! You couldn’t be more wrong! We have been together for six years now and even after we left the show, so you can suck my right pinky toe! People like you that say shit look that clearly have never found true love like we have and I’m sorry for you. Take care and good luck.”

“Oh and just for your info the show asked us to get married on TV and we declined because it wasn’t the right time for us, we never did anything just for the show,” she added, according to a January 5 report by Reality Tea.

As the Inquisitr reported in September, 2013, Rossi, along with Alexis Bellino, was fired from the reality show ahead of season nine.

“Neither will be returning for season nine. The feeling is both of their journeys on the show have come to an end,” an insider explained to E! News. “Bravo is constantly looking at the casting and dynamics and it felt like time for a change.”

Following the exits of Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino, Lizzie Rovsek, Shannon Beador and Danielle Gregorio were added to the cast.

After the show, Rossi and Smiley attempted to start a family. Sadly, they have been unable to do so thus far.

“After two surgeries, 14 fertilized embryos, and one round of IVF, Rossi still hasn’t been able to get pregnant,” OK! Magazine reported. “The Real Housewife of Orange County star went under the knife for egg retrieval while Slade had a testicular sperm extraction. The doctors were able to fertilize more embryos, but none survived implantation.”

“As we begin to age, we want to make sure that we’ve done everything possibly to ensure a healthy baby,” Smiley told the magazine.

“Actively pulling the trigger to make a baby is very powerful,” Rossi added. “You go through every step together. As I’m crying and putting in shots that are very painful, Slade is right there with me.”

After starring on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley appeared on WEtv’s Marriage Boot Camp.
