WWE News: WWE Superstar Randy Orton Set To Undergo Another Surgery, How Long Will He Be Gone?

WWE Superstar Randy Orton has seemingly been teasing a return to the ring like crazy lately. He returned at a house show a few days back, then returned at WWE RAW for the save on John Cena. Yet none of this was on camera, which made people wonder… why even have him back if he’s not going to be there to wrestle or appear on TV?

Orton was out recently due to filming a new WWE Film. However, he was done with the film weeks ago, and could have come back. Orton has been nursing nagging injuries along with it all. So he missed all the action from WWE during that period of time. According to the Wrestling Observer, now he is expected to miss a bit more as he has surgery on a deviated septum. Basically, it is a nose surgery commonly done to help open a nostril more.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a Deviated Septum “occurs when the thin wall (nasal septum) between your nostrils is displaced to one side. In many people, the nasal septum is displaced — or deviated — making one nasal passage smaller. When a deviated septum is severe, it can block one side of your nose and reduce airflow, causing difficulty breathing. The additional exposure of a deviated septum to the drying effect of airflow through the nose may sometimes contribute to crusting or bleeding in certain individuals.”

Obviously, Orton needed to get surgery done in order to help with his day job. Even those without a job like Orton’s with this certain issue need the surgery as well. That said, Orton will have to miss a bit more time when he does it.

The recovery time is around three weeks, so Orton will most likely be ready to come back by The Royal Rumble. We could see more of Orton randomly coming out after shows, so do not be surprised to see this if you’re in the live crowd at WWE RAW or even at a live event. Orton always could be there, even if unadvertised.

Orton may also appear on WWE programming within the next few weeks, but will not wrestle. We can assume that with The Authority in power again, Orton coming back will be something they make part of their storyline. Orton was taken out programming-wise due to Triple H’s orders to take him out. Seth Rollins did something similar with him that he did with Dean Ambrose. Clearly, Orton has revenge on his mind, and that only makes The Authority a priority.

Orton will most likely go after Seth Rollins when he returns, but do not be surprised if he attacks The Game as well. WWE could use Orton, as heading into the new year as well as WrestleMania build-up time, he is heavily needed. He could be back on TV as early as next week, but if they wait until The Royal Rumble PPV, do not be surprised.
