“Chris Rock has filed for divorce from his wife, Malaak. This is a personal matter and Chris requests privacy as he and Malaak work through this process and focus on their family.”
The most public turmoil regarding Chris Rock involved a lawsuit brought against Rock by a Hungarian model named Monika Zsibrita in Los Angeles Superior Court, a legal claim that was settled back in 2012, reported the Hollywood Reporter.
As a result of that incident, the Huffington Post reported about a 31-minute long conversation purportedly between Chris Rock and Anthony Pellicano, a former high-profile Los Angeles private investigator. In the conversation, the voice of a man who sounds like Chris Rock can be heard admitting to sex with a woman who wasn’t likely his wife.
“I had a rubber on, I probably took it off right when I was about to come. I probably came on her a**.”
The charges being read during the conversation claim Chris Rock told Zsibrita he was getting a divorce years ago.
“[Chris Rock] told her that he was getting a divorce when he went back to New York where he lived.”
For his part, the man who sounds like Chris Rock talks about being set up, but doesn’t deny accompanying Zsibrita to The Ivy, and even described how Zsibrita wore white pants – an attention-getting outfit that his wife would never wear. In the audio, the man that sounds like Rock talks about his wife dressing classily and more subdued than the other woman he accompanied; a woman who would’ve drawn attention from passersby who would know Chris Rock wasn’t out with Malaak.
“I know people were like, ‘Hey – what’s he doing with her?'”
As reported by Inquisitr, news about Chris Rock filing for divorce from Malaak Compton-Rock – whom he married in 1996 – is still a shock for fans that found the Rock couple quite a charming match.
