To answer those questions, this reporter turned to both Fandango and Yahoo Movies to discover any information about The Interview movie theaters and showtimes for The Interview movie on the websites. According to CNN, there were a number of independent movie theaters that came out and told Sony they wanted The Interview movie copies to play in their movie theaters in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, and Dallas.
Thus far, movie theaters like the Alamo Drafthouse DFW have taken to Twitter to proclaim they will show The Interview movie on Christmas Day in their movie theater. Movie theaters like the Plaza Atlanta have also used Twitter to display the showtimes of The Interview movie on Christmas Day, showing on two screens on Christmas Day, with showtimes for the day after Christmas to New Year's Day to be announced on Christmas Eve.
Meanwhile, typing the search term "The Interview" site:www.fandango.com into Google or searching for The Interview movie directly on Fandango only turned up killed The Interview movie trailers, but moviegoers can always sign up for Fandango fan alerts to be alerted when The Interview movie will appear in their area -- although not all independent movie theaters will be listed therein.
A search for The Interview movie on Yahoo Movies doesn't display movie times and theaters as of this writing; however, The Interview movie trailer number two is available for viewing from Yahoo Movies.
Michael Lynton, Chairman and CEO of Sony Entertainment, broke the shocking news about The Interview movie being available to see on Christmas Day in a select group of movie theaters.
"We have never given up on releasing 'The Interview' and we're excited our movie will be in a number of theaters on Christmas Day."At the same time, continued Lynton, Sony is still trying to get The Interview movie shown on a variety of different platforms so that it reaches the largest audience possible.
