‘The Interview’ Full Movie On Crackle? Find Out When And If ‘The Interview’ Hits Sony’s Streaming Service First

Update: The Interview full movie is now online at YouTube Movies, Google Play and Xbox Video: Here are the links to the full movie, now online on Christmas Eve.

Finally, after much speculation and searching from online viewers about where they can watch The Interview movie online comes the news that Sony plans to release the full movie version of The Interview for free for users to watch on Crackle, reports the New York Post on Sunday. Mashable, however, says these reports of Sony releasing The Interview on Crackle are premature.

Whether Sony will actually release The Interview on Crackle or not remains to be seen in light of these conflicting reports, but there are technical ways to find out first if Sony releases The Interview on Crackle. In order to be one of the first to discover when The Interview full movie hits Crackle, type the search term “The Interview” site:www.crackle.com into Google, so that searchers can try and cull only those results on Crackle – the streaming service owned by Sony – that are related to The Interview movie. That way, as soon as the full movie’s video file of The Interview is uploaded to Crackle and indexed by Google, it should show up in Google’s search-engine results pages.

Of course, it also helps to subscribe to the Crackle newsletter to get news about The Interview movie hitting the Crackle website for free for viewers to watch online, which is quite a turnaround from Sony saying that they had no current plans to release the controversial movie version of The Interview as early as the day before.

As of this writing, when one types “The Interview” into the search box on Crackle, the Crackle website reports no results found. However, with news on December 21 breaking that Sony has found a streaming service distributor in its own Crackle service, it seems those results will change soon.

As reported by the Inquisitr on December 20, Sony Pictures CEO Michael Lynton said Sony was still considering various options – and didn’t mention Crackle – but said that other major video-on-demand distributors hadn’t stepped up to the plate to release the full movie version of The Interview for viewers to watch online.

“There are a number of options open to us, and we have considered those and are considering those. As it stands right now, while there have been a number of suggestions… there has not been one major VOD distributor [or] one major e-commerce site that has stepped forward and said they’re willing to distribute this movie for us… Again we don’t have that direct interface with the American public.”
