Even though Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder had wrapped filming in New Mexico, he still wants to cast a young Bruce Wayne.
According to a report in Comic Book Movie, Warner Bros. has a new casting call for a 10 and 12-year-old kid, who will supposedly play young Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Snyder tweeted on December 10 that production in New Mexico had come to an end.
The webiste One Headlight Ink has the following casting call.
“Oneheadlightink, Midthunder Casting is searching for a ’10 -AND- 12 year old, Caucasian boys (SAG principal roles – to portray a young BEN AFFLECK) who have extensive WUSHU, KUNG FU, or PENTAK SILAT training and experience.’ They also said that they would be excepting a ‘high level (state – world champion) competitors in all martial arts forms.’ With that said, most likely the young Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne) will be involved with some sort high-level training in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
The site also says that those who want to be considered should register “No later than Monday morning 12/15.” If interested in being cast as a young Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman they can email MidthunderCasting@gmail.com.
Speculation is that the scenes will be mostly related to re-shoots and will probably show as a flashback or two. Earlier, it was reported that a scene depicting Bruce Wayne’s parents’ murder will be part of the blockbuster, as it has in past versions.
The heartbreaking scene was filmed while the Batman v Superman cast and crew were in Chicago last month, as reported by the Inquisitr at the time. Several photos were shared by Twitter users at the time.
In addition to the Batman v Superman casting call for a young Bruce Wayne, a colored photo of Affleck in his Batsuit was officially released by Zack Snyder’s production label, Cruel and Unusual. It’s not a new photo, but a different version of the black and white one the director shared on Twitter back in May.
