Even if you haven’t seen Ben Affleck in Gone Girl, odds are you’ve heard that he went full frontal for a blink and you’ll miss it moment. The hysteria around people seeing his junk was largely joked about during the press for Gone Girl. Well, now you can see it in all of its Affleck glory. It’s still a blink and you’ll miss it moment, but thanks to the internet and the nature of GIFs, it’s looped for an eternity for your viewing pleasure.
Talk about Affleck’s penis happened after the film made its world premiere at the New York Film Festival. The Inquisitr was on the scene for it, and half of the audience missed it, while the others got a peek of Affleck doing full frontal nudity for the first time.
During the press for Gone Girl Ben couldn’t resist but to joke about the moment.
“The penis is in there! It costs extra. It’s IMAX penis! You’ve gotta pay 15 bucks to see it in 3-D. It looks better in 3-D.”
He then continued in a more serious tone.
“I think there’s some brief nudity in this movie. [Director] David [Fincher] said to me from the beginning, ‘This is a warts and all movie. It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character.’ It’s gotta be like in Europe, they just don’t give a s–t about any of that stuff and they just play real people. So that was the spirit of the thing and we kind of stuck to that, me and Rosamund [Pike]. There is some brief, um, very brief nudity, I think.”
His wife, Jennifer Garner, went on Ellen DeGeneres to talk about her own films that she had out at the time, but DeGeneres had other things in mind. When Affleck’s penis was brought up, Garner had no problem with talking about her gift to the world.
“He’s showing his penis.. What I have to say is, ‘You’re welcome.’ I just try to consider myself a charitable person and I wanted to give back. You give me so much, I wanted to give something back to all of you.”
