Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is something that many fans have been waiting to see for quite some time. That isn’t necessarily because they enjoyed Michael Bay’s 2014 re-imagining of our heroes in a half-shell, but because of rumors that Bebop and Rocksteady would appear in it.
Well, put those rumors to rest. The popular bumbling villainous duo will be in it.
According to ComicBook.com , producers Michael Bay , Andrew Form, and Brad Full all confirmed that the henchman of the evil Shredder will be in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 . Making matters even more exciting is what they all continued to say about another character that could show up.
“We can say that Bebop and Rocksteady are in the film, and Casey Jones is a character that we love and we’re trying to fit him in as well.”
Yes, the hockey-mask wearing, baseball and golf club-wielding madman known as Casey Jones may end up in the film.
Screen Rant said that the producers of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been hoping to put in characters such as Casey Jones and even some from Dimension X. Could you imagine a live version of Krang walking around on the big screen?
The 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was set to include Bebop and Rocksteady, and the film team even went as far as to create concept art for them. Eventually, the bogus dudes were cut from the movie, as the Inquisitr reported, and left on the floor in hopes that a sequel would be made.
It also looks as if the franchise will go in a different direction as far as a director is concerned. Jonathan Liebesman was at the helm for the first movie, but producers are eyeing David Green ( Earth To Echo ) to take over for him, according to JoBlo .
The first film made over $470 million at the worldwide box office even though most critics ripped it to shreds. No pun intended.
While numerous moviegoers had mixed feelings about it too, the sequel could bring them back around to loving the franchise again. The addition of Bebop and Rocksteady have now added a lot of extra anticipation for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 , and bring forth plenty more sequels to boot.
Some things are still up in the air, but it is known for sure that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will feature Bebop and Rocksteady and possibly a few others. It is also known that Paramount is going to release the film on June 3, 2016, so be ready for the awesomeness.
