Lorenzo Lamas Custody Battle Win: Shauna Sand Loses, Daughters To Live Primarily With Dad
Lorenzo Lamas has just won a big victory in his ongoing custody battle with ex-wife Shauna Sand. The two have three girls together, and now Lamas has just been awarded primary custody of them. Sand is said to be devastated, while the girls reportedly are thrilled.
TMZ shared the latest regarding the Lorenzo Lamas custody battle with Shauna Sand. The couple’s three girls, Alexandra, 17, Victoria, 15, and Isabella, 13, had been split between their two parents, but things were not going very smoothly. The teens are said to have all written letters to the judge in the case asking to live with their dad.
After a prolonged battle between Lamas and Sand, a judge agreed. The joint custody agreement has now been changed by the judge. The three teens will live with Lorenzo full-time instead of just 50 percent of the time, though Sand will have them every other weekend.
Reports indicate that the girls wanted to be with their dad because their mom has new boyfriends in the house constantly, living at the home, and they alleged Sand is abusive toward them. The girls say that their mom calls them “c**ts” and “b***hes.” In addition, they say that their mom even rented out their bedrooms, leaving two of the girls to sleep on the couch and the other to sleep by herself in a guesthouse.
After the judge ruled in Lamas’ favor, the girls were said to be ecstatic while Sand was apparently sobbing. Despite the family strife, just a couple of weeks ago Shauna posted a photo with her three girls on Instagram, wishing Alexandra a happy birthday. Details regarding Shauna’s personal life and parenting choices have come under fire for years, and it seems that a judge finally decided that the custody agreement regarding the girls needed a significant change.
Lamas has been in the entertainment industry for decades, starring on shows like Falcon Crest, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Renegade. He’s also done reality television, having had the show Leave It to Lamas a few years ago with his older daughter, Shayne Lamas of The Bachelor. Long-time fans are anxious to see Lorenzo in the upcoming Celebrity Apprentice 2015 season, where he’ll battle against other celebrities such as Kate Gosselin, Ian Ziering, and Vivica A. Fox all in the name of charity.
Will the new Shauna Sand and Lorenzo Lamas custody agreement stick for a while? It seems that the judge in this case was heavily swayed by what the girls shared and wanted, so it does seem that this change is likely a very promising, healthy one for the teens.
