Get a look at Mass Effect 3’s new combat mechanics [Video]

In the latest installment of BioWare’s Pulse web series, the Mass Effect 3 team runs down what’s new and improved with the combat system in the third game in the trilogy.

In the video, BioWare designers Eric Fagnan and Corey Gaspur detail some of the new skill additions to Mass Effect 3‘s character classes, and explain how each class will interact with enemies differently based on their unique skill sets.

If you were to play a Vanguard, for example, your gameplay experience should feel noticeably different than if you were playing a Sentinel. BioWare hopes to accomplish this with a number of new abilities that make some enemies easier to deal with for certain classes, and so on.

Mass Effect 3 is due out on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 6, 2012 in North America, March 9, 2012 in Europe.
