Kentucky’s Ramon Harris Collapses, Now Released from Hospital

Kentucky guard Ramon Harris collapsed outside the team’s locker room at halftime of the NCAA Kentucy-Alabama game Saturday.

Harris was taken by ambulance to the nearby DCH Medical Center. The start of the second half was delayed and Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie remained with Harris as the half began.

Initial reports from the hospital said that while doctors were concerned, Harris was alert, and was listed as in a stable condition.

Since that time Harris has been released from the hospital and is heading back to Lexington with his teammates on a charter flight.

This is the second health scare for Harris this season, after he was carried off the court on a stretcher and taken to hospital after colliding with a teammate against Lamar December 3.
