Tamra Barney Was A “Sad, Sad” Person On ‘RHOC’ Season Nine

Tamra Barney recently spoke out about her stint on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 9.

In an interview with Perez Hilton, the mother of four revealed she wasn’t in the best place while filming the season and claiming her co-star, Heather Dubrow, was the only real friend she had.

“I came in as a sad, sad person … none of my castmates other than Heather [Dubrow] pulled me aside to say, ‘I know what you’re going through,'” Barney told Hilton on November 19.

During The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 9, Tamra Barney made headlines after slamming her co-star Lizzie Rovsek by calling her “Kentucky fried t***ies,” and claiming her husband, Eddie Judge, wouldn’t touch her with a 10-foot pole. Following the finale episode, Rovsek took to her Bravo blog, where she gave fans her thoughts on Barney’s behavior.

“I am sorry for what Tamra is going through in her life; I just don’t think it’s a good excuse to hurt other people,” Rovsek wrote. “We all go through hard times. However there comes a time when you damage a relationship beyond repair and the things that have happened in the past few weeks are reprehensible. Will I forgive Tamra? Yes and I have. However, I don’t foresee a friendship with her.”

Although Tamra Barney didn’t disclose what issue it was she was dealing with, it likely had something to do with her ongoing custody battle with her ex-husband, Simon Barney, who filed documents against her earlier this year. As the Inquisitr reported, Simon claimed she was an unfit parent.

Throughout the season, Barney had been vocal on social media about potentially edited scenes. However, after she claimed Bravo forced her to wait until the day of Rovsek’s party to cancel and told fans they made a sick Shannon Beador attend the party, the network reportedly gave her the boot.

“The network has had it with Tamra’s over the top ego and diva behavior. She sealed her fate by publicly stating that Bravo edited scenes to make her look bad,” a source told Radar Online on July 30, according to the Inquisitr. “This is a very big no-no, and Tamra’s contract won’t be picked up for another season. The fact that she has ongoing legal issues with ex-husband, Simon (Barney), and really doesn’t have anything that interesting going on in her life made it a very easy decision.”

According to Hilton, Tamra Barney was never actually fired, and she and the rest of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast will begin filming Season 10 in the next few weeks.
