Kim Richards Removes Her Pit Bull From Her Home

Kim Richards has moved her pit bull, Kingsley, out of her Los Angeles home following his attack on her niece, Alexia Umansky, the daughter of her sister, Kyle.

Earlier this month, as reported by the Inquisitr, the Richards’ family was hanging out at Kim’s home when, out of the blue, Kingsley viscously attacked Alexia, leaving her hospitalized and needing multiple surgeries.

According to a November 6 report by TMZ, Alexia was bit several times, but her worst injury occurred on her hand. Following the attack, Kim claimed it was Alexia’s fault she was bitten because she was told not to go near the dog. In fact, Kim reportedly tells everyone entering her home not to go near the dog.

In a statement to Radar Online, Kim Richards explained why Alexia was bitten.

“The events that led up to Kingsley biting Alexia resulted from the girls entering my bedroom after I already told them my room was off limits. Alexia has been away from college for months and hasn’t seen Kingsley in a long time. Kingsley is used to the home being full of children and since the kids have gone away, the house has become quiet. While the two have been very close and friendly in the past, the dog has become very protective of me in the meantime. When guests are over, Kinglsey stays in my bedroom and has been given access to a special fenced in area in my backyard. Anyone entering the house is made aware that the dog should not be bothered.”

Now that weeks have passed, Kim Richards, who had allegedly been considering putting her dog down, has moved Kingsley out of her home and in with a trainer. “It takes a little reading between the lines, but it sounds like [Kim]’s saying she sent the dog to a professional so it won’t continue attacking people,” TMZ reported on November 16 after speaking to Kim at The Grove. “That means when the trainer thinks the dog is socialized she’ll take it back.” In a second report by PEOPLE Magazine, it was reported Kingsley had gone to a “good place” with his trainer after his fifth attack on a human.

As the Inquisitr reported, Kim is currently being threatened with a lawsuit by a former friend who claims she was also attacked by Kingsley.
