Harry Styles Refuses To Address Gay Rumors, Reveals Thoughts On Taylor Swift’s Songs About Him

Harry Styles refused to comment on the topic of his sexuality during a live topic discussion with the rest of One Direction over the weekend.

Over the last few days there have been various rumors that have suggested that Styles is actually either gay or bisexual. These rumors came about because he previously commented that gender isn’t important when it comes to love.

During a in-depth interview with Ben Winston, there was a moment when the band had the perfect opportunity to confront the speculation over their sexuality. Yahoo! UK revealed that the group have long been friends with their interviewer, and during their chat he asked the group what the oddest rumor they’d heard about themselves was.

This was followed by each of them then trying to figure out which of the myriad rumors that have been plastered across the internet since they started the band was the strangest. Harry Styles then popped up by revealing that hearing that one of them had died was slightly peculiar.

Ben Winston then tried to press for more information by responding, “I’m sorry to hear that. Is there anything apart from death?!” Louis Tomlinson then went on tease the information that Ben Winston clearly desired by declaring, “I’m sure there is something but, I can’t…”

However Liam Payne then jumped in to save the conversation from becoming immensely awkward by stating, “The thing is, there’s a lot of things. But you know when someone asks you something and you can’t put your finger on it?”

Zayn Mailk was then able to round off the chat by stating, “We used to change Niall’s profession every time we went abroad.” Ben Winston then moved the conversation onto a new topic after he realised that he wasn’t going to get the answer he desired.

During the same interview, Harry Styles also discussed the fact that his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has written songs about their brief time together as a couple. Styles and Swift dated at the end of 2012 before splitting up in January, 2013. And he admitted that he’s honored to have been the topic of some of her songs.

I think we always say, when we wrote the album, that we write from personal experiences, so it would be hypocritical of us to be like ‘oh you can’t write a song…’ She’s really good so… They’re good songs. So I’m lucky in that sense.”
