An executive who’s helped lead Time Warner and CNET has now joined multimedia advertising search site Balihoo.
Jack Haire — the one-time executive vice-president of Time, Inc — has signed onto Balihoo’s Board of Directors effective today. Haire was with Time Warner for more than a quarter century, logging roles ranging from Time Magazine publisher to Fortune/Money Group president prior to his most recent VP position. He has since served as a special advisor to the CEO of CNET and has held similar roles with both Hallmark and Quigo Technologies.
Balihoo acts as a centralized search engine for advertisers. It lets companies find advertising opportunities in various types of media, including the Internet and more traditional print forms. A former HP executive formed the company last January. It raised $4 million in additional funding at the beginning of this year as it went out of beta and into full operation.
Balihoo’s offices are based in Boise, Idaho, as you can see in the company’s virtual tour below.
