Kate Middleton Over Pregnancy Woes, Will Break Royal Tradition To Attend Event With Prince William

Kate Middleton is believed to now finally be over the severe morning sickness that has previously blighted her pregnancy, as it has been reported that she is in a much better condition.

According to Franchise Herald, the Duchess is now slowly returning to full fitness as she approaches the end of her first trimester. Ever since her pregnancy was originally announced, Middleton has reportedly been experiencing Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

Despite the fact that she had previously suffered from this during her pregnancy with her now 1-year-old son, Prince George, Middleton was forced to move back home with her mother and father because of the gravity of her condition. Franchise Herald even wrote that ABC News had been told by a royal official that Middleton “may require supplementary hydration, medication and nutrients.”

However, Kate Middleton showed that she was on the road to recovery by joining her husband, Prince William, alongside Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip during the President of Singapore’s recent trip to the United Kingdom at the end of October. And a recent vacation with Prince William and Prince George has also helped to improve her sickness.

And after these royal jaunts, Prince William and Kate Middleton are now planning to stand in for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance next week. It has previously been a royal tradition since 1912 that either the monarch or the Prince of Wales attend the event. However, officials have now confirmed that Kate Middleton and Prince Williams will take their place instead.

This news was confirmed after Kensington Palace released the guest list for the show, which will see the likes of Bette Midler, Dame Shirley Bassey, Ellie Goulding, and Ed Sheeran perform. The event will be held at the London Palladium.

Prince Charles and the Queen have taken it in turns to attend performances for the last few decades. As the Prince of Wales attended it last year, the Queen was expected to be here this year. The decision for Kate Middleton and Prince William to attend proves just how much esteem the young duo hold with the Queen. According to the Daily Mail, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace confirmed their attendance on Wednesday.

“The Duke and Duchess are delighted to attend the forthcoming Royal Variety Performance. Members of the Royal Family will continue to support the gala evenings. As with any other invitation, attendance by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.”
