The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks kept to herself around the time that Apollo Nida pled guilty to crimes of fraud and identity theft, but she was filming for the highly successful Bravo show. At the time of his sentencing, Phaedra continued to do book signings around the country, but she never uttered a word about her husband’s legal troubles. Now that he is locked up, she isn’t afraid to talk a little about her feelings.
Phaedra Parks recently gave an interview where she revealed that she did keep some things private, even though she was filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta . Many fans were questioning whether she would keep her marriage alive once Apollo was booked, but Parks admits that some things will not be revealed in regards to her final decision to split.
According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is now revealing how she is doing after filing for divorce. It turns out that she still loves him, because he is the father of her two children, but she thinks they are better off being apart. It sounds like she has no plans of giving him a second chance once he is released. Once the trust is gone, it can be hard to get back.
“Although I live my life in public, I don’t obviously live everything in the public,” Phaedra explains, adding, “This is not due to just him being incarcerated, it’s a culmination of things. We are better and healthier individuals now that we are apart.”
Of course, Phaedra Parks and Apollo will always be connected thanks to their two children, Ayden and Dylan. Once he is released, he will have rights to see his children and she will have to make room for him, even though they won’t be married.
“There’s no benefit to mudslinging because we have two very young children,” Phaedra Parks says, adding, “I want [Ayden and Dylan] to look back and have them think she handled her affairs with dignity and class. I would never diminish my husband, whether we’re married or divorced. He will always be family. I will always love him. And we will always love our children.”
According to the Inquisitr , Phaedra Parks was accused of cheating on Nida, but there was no real meat to the story. Perhaps, it was an attempt to shift focus from Apollo to Parks. And as fans will see on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta , Phaedra only had one thing in mind at the time – her children.
“It’s the morning of Apollo’s sentencing, and I’ve decided not to be at our house because of the paparazzi and people trying to snap pictures of my children,” Phaedra Parks reveals on the promo clip for the upcoming season.
