Jep Robertson: Doctors Uncertain How ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Suffered Seizure
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Duck Dynasty star Jep Robertson suffered a seizure while he was out deer hunting with some friends and his brother, Willie. A few days after being hospitalized, the 36-year-old Robertson tweeted to his fans that he was OK.
Well, I about died this past Sunday…I’m doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive

Now that he’s out of the hospital, Jep Robertson has opened up about the day his seizure occurred. Speaking to ABC’s Good Morning America, via Yahoo! News, Jep recalled thinking that the seizure was going to kill him.
“I thought I was a goner.”
Jep Robertson then remembered the events leading up to the seizure and waking up in the hospital. Everything else is a blank for the Duck Dynasty star.
“I reached to get my bow, and that’s kind of the last I remember. I just crumpled to the ground, and they said I had a seizure for, like, five minutes. The time I remember is Thursday — waking up Thursday, looking around, asking Jess, ‘What are we doing in the hospital?’ I had no idea what had happened four days before.”
Even after he underwent a spinal tap, an EEG, and a CT scan, the doctors are still not sure how Jep Robertson suffered the seizure.
“They think it was a mix between meningitis and encephalitis. For the last month, I mispronounced words, and I didn’t know why I did it, but I think it was leading up to the seizure.”
But the Duck Dynasty star did find some humor out of a serious event. On his Twitter page, Robertson took a photo that was very similar to a scene in the Steven Segal film, Hard to Kill.

Robertson also mentioned that he is eager to get back to hunting again. But he’s not too happy about the length of time it’ll be until he gets to do that again.
[“It’ll be] about a month. I’m mad about it. I’m real mad about it.”
On Twitter, Jep’s wife, Jessica, also thanked the Duck Dynasty fans for their support as Jep recovered from his seizure.
Jep definitely gave us a scare this week, but he’s doing so much better! Thanks for all the thoughts & prayers! pic.twitter.com/xTkvajC4nB
