A shocking report surfaced this week that said Teresa Giudice is in the midst of a major meltdown, even before she begins her 15-month sentencing term behind bars. In Touch posted a troublesome image of the RHONJ star with snippets from the cover story that suggests Teresa is on suicide-watch over fears she will be attacked and beaten in jail. However, Gossip Cop claims to have inside information that debunks rumors the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has suicidal plans to avoid incarceration.
The tabloid is accused of making many assumptions about how Teresa will cope behind bars. Allegedly, Giudice has concerns about lice, bugs, humiliating strip searches, bullying, and a host of other things that will make serving the sentence a maddening experience. Supposedly, as a precaution, doctors have placed the New Jersey housewife on “suicide watch.”
The folks at GC charges IT with deliberately using a “bait-and-switch” image (shown here) that, to an unwary reader, suggests Teresa Giudice is already serving time in jail and is reporting unbearable conditions. Inside the mag, there are also reports that Joe and Teresa’s marriage is on the rocks, and their convictions have made divorce a likelihood. A story on suicide sounds like a plausible turn of events, but the rumor is supposedly debunked.
Joe and Teresa Giudice sat down with Andy Cohen in an episode of Watch What Happens Live after their sentences were handed down by a New Jersey judge. There, the Giudices talked about how the case hurt their business, Joe’s possible deportation, and any marital stress that resulted from their court proceedings and upcoming jail sentences for bankruptcy fraud.
Teresa received 15 months behind bars for her role in the fraud conspiracy, and Joe received 41 months in prison. His sentence will begin after his wife completes her jail time. The mom of four daughters will begin her term first.
Sources say the tabloid purporting that the RHONJ star is severely depressed and considering ending her life is the same agency that reported “a bogus ‘Pregnant’ cover story about Giudice last month, so why should we expect a sudden turn toward accuracy now?”
Gossip Cop reports it has first-hand information that rumors of Teresa Giudice’s suicide watch are categorically false. It’s investigators reportedly talked to Teresa and Joe’s crisis manager, who is preparing them for life behind bars, and they dismissed the reports from tabloids on their clients.
The ongoing developments in the embattled couple’s lives read and sound like a reality television show, and for the next four years or more, the Giudices are likely to command headlines as the rumor mill gets in high gear.
