‘Wasco Clowns’ Takeover Town: Terrifying Clowns Lurk The Streets At Night In California Community [Photos]
For those who have a fear of clowns, Wasco, California, may be the most terrifying place on earth. Since October 1, residents of the small town, which is located between Los Angeles and San Francisco, are reporting sightings of evil clowns roaming creepily down their streets.
The mystery of the origins of the clown is haunting residents who do not know where the clowns come from or what they want. Searching for the clowns has become somewhat of a pasttime in the community. According to The Daily Mail, the props and costumes change routinely, leading some to believe there is a menacing gang of bandits dressing up like the clowns from everyone’s nightmares. Noah Sanchez, a resident, told KGET that people chase the clowns when they post their whereabouts on Twitter.
“Some of the residents go in cars searching for him. They have flashlights and try to spot him in neighborhoods after he posts to Twitter.”
Another resident notes that he has already seen the clowns three times. Anthony Garza says, “I just seen him about three times already. But yeah—he’s creepy.”
The Wasco Clown has his own Instagram account that has informed residents that there is more than one clown. That is correct residents and visitors to Wasco, there is more than one clown wandering the streets each night.
