49ers Bathroom Brawl Video At Levi Stadium Is Intense, Fight Not Caused By Fan Rivalry

A San Franciso 49ers bathroom brawl video shot from the new Levi stadium had fans speculating what could have caused fans for the 49ers to erupt in a fight. As it turns out, the 49ers bathroom brawl apparently had nothing to do with team rivalry.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, the 49ers bathroom brawl video shows “a group of fans fighting inside a bathroom at the newly opened Levi Stadium in Santa Clara. A 49ers fan wearing a Frank Gore jersey sparked the brawl by sucker punching another fan wearing a Colin Kaepernick jersey. The man was sent sprawling to the floor of the bathroom while others joined in.” Two people were arrested due to the incident and one 49ers fan ended up in the hospital with potential serious brain damage. The team admitted that the Levi stadium fight is not that unusual, saying they’ve had “a domestic violence assault, and now coupled with this assault right now, so we’ve had two assaults, slightly different as far as charges, but assaults they are.”

The 49ers bathroom brawl has some to be concerned about how such fights seem to be escalating in number. But Kathy Samoun, founder of the nonprofit Fans Against Violence, says, “A small percentage of the fans cause the biggest issues. These are the ones who have lost perspective that this is a sport, a team.” Bob Lange, the 49ers’ spokesman, said the team was appalled by the video.

“We were appalled to see the video of the attack on the victims. Maintaining the safety of all stadium guests is our highest priority.”

Police are investigating the circumstances of the 49ers bathroom brawl video and they note that all of the people involved in the Levi Stadium fight appear to be wearing San Francisco 49ers gear. Alex Cartagena, who posted the video online after his brother-in-law Justin Sweeney recorded it, also explained how the 49ers bathroom brawl started in the first place.

“One guy was impatient about another guy not taking the stall quickly enough,” he said. “It happened really quickly. Next thing you know, the guy’s lying on the floor.”

According to The Press Democrat, Santa Clara police spokesman Lt. Kurt Clarke said the two men arrested on suspicion for felony assault were 34-year-old Dario Rebollero and 27-year-old Amador Rebollero. The name of the victim of the San Francisco 49ers brawl has not been released by police, although he is now listed as being in serious but stable condition and is expected to survive.
