Fear Factor Prepares For NBC Return, First On-Set Photo Revealed

NBC has placed an order for 8 new episodes of the once popular reality TV gameshow Fear Factor and now the first photo from the revamped series has been revealed (shown above).

Debuting with a two-hour premiere on December 12 the show will come back on the air right after an airing of The Sing Off and will be offered in HD for the very first time.

Producers of the show say it will be more exciting this time around by providing modern stunt technology that will take each users fears to the next level.

Also returning for a second go around is the shows original host Joe Rogan.

Paul Telegdy, NBC’s president of alternative and late night programming told EW:

“The fans of the original show are not going to be disappointed and Rogan is exactly the same — it’s classic, it looks amazing,” while adding, “I had forgotten why this show has the best title in TV — fear is a primal instinct that you rarely see engaged on television.”

Repeating the themes of the first show contestants will still be competing for $50,000 while eating exotic foods and taking on the “Towering Inferno” and other fan favorites that have been modernized to add even more fear.
