Kristin Cavallari is boasting a bold new ‘do. On Thursday, the former reality TV star showed off the results on her Instagram account.
The photo of a chopped ponytail sitting on the windowsill suggest Kristin’s haircut is extreme.
However, later photos show the 27-year-old did not cut off all of her hair. Kristin showed off her shoulder-skimming, asymmetrical blonde bob in more Instagram photos.
Colorist Justin Anderson spoke to People Magazine about what inspired Kristin’s new look.
“Kristin and I talked about going short for a few months, and we got Chris McMillan involved… We’re wildly obsessed with Britney Spears, so she sent me pictures back and forth of her new cut… We had to give her a color she could maintain at home because she lives in Chicago. I set her up with a color she could touch up in between, so we kept it a little bit darker and golden at the root, but the ends are really bleached-out blonds.”
According to E! News, Chris McMillan is the go-to hairstylist for dramatic cuts. He famously created the “The Rachel” haircut for Jennifer Aniston during her time on Friends. Since then, he has taken credit for chopping off Miley Cyrus’ long hair, completing her transformation into a genuine pop star.
It has been a year of transformations for Kristin Cavallari. Two months after giving birth to her second child, the beauty boasted about losing 20 pounds. As reported in the Inquisitr, Kristin relied on a healthy diet to lose most of her baby weight.
“We eat a ton of veggies, chicken, grass-fed beef, bison, and fish. We also love sweet potatoes and brown rice pasta. I either make a smoothie, oatmeal or eggs for breakfast and a salad or turkey sandwich for lunch. I have a snack in the afternoon – usually nuts with dried cherries, chips with hummus, or an apple and almond butter. I also love avocados with olive oil and sea salt and I put coconut oil in or on everything.”
In September, Kristin talked to Us Magazine about how her children have enriched her life.
“You just have so much more love in your life. Motherhood really makes you realize what’s important in life and puts everything into perspective. It’s the hardest but most rewarding job.”
However, Kristin told Us that spending time with husband Jay Cutler has become more challenging.
“With a new baby it’s really hard because the last thing I want to do at night is get ready to go to dinner – I would rather just go to bed,” Kristin said.
