Is Victoria’s Secret Grooming Kendall Jenner As Next Angel?

Reality television star Kendall Jenner has recently been hitting the runways, including a walk at New York’s Fashion Week and appearances in Paris. This has caught the eye of Victoria’s Secret, say insiders, who may be looking to sign Jenner as an Angel alongside beautiful legends like Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell.

The Kardashian who doesn’t bear the name has been making a splash lately, including stirring rumors that she’s secretly seeing Justin Beiber. The rumors of Victoria’s Secret’s interest in Kendall started with In Touch Weekly, which quoted Victoria’s Secret insiders as being interested in signing Kendall Jenner for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show coming later this year. They also quote a source close to Kendall that says the TV star turned supermodel has always wanted to be an Angel.

Traditionally, Victoria’s Secret hosts the show with about 30 young women walking the runway. Of those, only eight are Angels while the rest are “just cast of the show,” says Hollywood Life. Jenner is managed by her mother, Kris Jenner, who has pushed her daughter towards modeling for more than a year, and with good results. She became the talk of the town after her Paris runway appearance in a see-through clothing and without a blemish in her confidence as she did so. This may have solidified Kendall as a career model of choice in the fashion industry’s eyes.

Further tying Kendall Jenner to Victoria’s Secret would be her working with Russell James, a long-time Victoria’s Secret photographer. Jenner will appear in the photographer’s book Angels, which hits shelves later this month. Complex sees that as a good sign that her appearance for Victoria’s Secret as an Angel would be next. Jenner will be one of the few women appearing in the book that hasn’t already been a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

The Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year will be in London in December. The talk appears to be that the buzz created around Kendal Jenner during her NY and Paris Fashion Week walks has caught the ear of Victoria’s Secret planners, who are busy casting for London. Her appearances for Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and Givenchy have also caught attention, says the New York Daily News.

It would appear that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality show has launched the careers of all of the sisters. If Kendall Jenner truly dreams of being an Angel, it may be that Victoria’s Secret is aiming to make that dream come true.
