‘Star Wars Episode VII’ Plotline: Daisy Ridley, Max Von Sydow Roles Revealed?

The Star Wars Episode VII plot has been shrouded in secrecy, with little confirmed news about what we will see come December 2015. On Tuesday, a report surfaced about the roles newcomers Daisy Ridley and Max von Sydow will play in the saga.

As the Inquisitr reported in August, the mostly unknown Ridley has been signed on to be part of the cast for the entirety of this new trilogy, which suggests she is a main character. As far as von Sydow, he has historically played baddies, so everyone is expecting him to do the same for Star Wars Episode VII.

We warn you that there may be spoilers ahead. So let’s carry on.

Badass Digest claims to have sources close to the Star Wars Episode VII production, who have revealed potential plotline details. According to these sources, at the beginning, Max von Sydow’s character — which is supposedly central to the story — is a lunatic who just rambles nonsense, until Daisy Ridley brings him something from the past.

The sources suggest the story begins with the discovery of a lightsaber by an alien. Remember, what we do know is that Star Wars Episode VII is set 30-years after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and this reportedly means things have been mostly quiet in the galaxy far, far away, but a rebellion of some sort is still going on.

The alien brings said lightsaber to a salvage yard, where Daisy Ridley’s character — who is rumored to be called Kira — sees it. As soon as von Sydow sees it, he suddenly becomes lucid and recognizes the legendary Jedi weapon. He begins talking about the old days and names a few Prequel Trilogy characters.

After Kira and the alien leave, von Sydow makes a call to a mysterious person letting them know about the lightsaber discovery. The big question here is, who is he calling and which side is he on?

As far as Daisy Ridley’s character, Kira, according to these plotline rumors, lives in an abandoned AT-AT walker, which has been knocked on its side. The setting where Star Wars Episode VII begins is reported to be a desert planet.

The report has one last interesting tidbit about the Star Wars Episode VII plotline. The recent images of the Millennium Falcon and X Wing fighters we saw in aerial photos are supposedly located in a familiar place, Yavin IV — one of three habitable moons surrounding the planet Yavin, specifically the Massassi Temple where Han and Leia go to escape the Empire in Episode IV.
