Rick Ross Released From Hospital, Appears in Public After Second Seizure

Rapper and hip-hop artist Rick Ross had a pretty eventful weekend but insists he is doing well after suffering two seizures- both aboard planes- in the past few days.

Ross first fell ill on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis Friday afternoon, and the plane returned to its point of origin to transport the ailing rapper to receive medical attention. Ross immediately began insisting he was fine and all was well ahead of a Saturday Memphis appearance to open a Wingstop location, but the day’s medical woes were not yet over.

Later the same day, Ross boarded a second flight to Memphis, only to suffer another unexplained seizure. The flight was diverted to Birmingham, Alabama. Ross left the second flight- a private jet- and was again seen by medical professionals. He then canceled two scheduled Memphis appearances.

According to TMZ, Ross has taken the step of avoiding air travel until the seizure issue is under control:

Ross — who was hospitalized in Alabama Friday — was picked up by his friend DJ Khaled … who transported him to Memphis in his luxury tour bus for the opening of a chicken wing joint last night.

Sources close to Ross tell us … Khaled has offered to take Ross back to Atlanta in the bus, so he won’t have to risk another in-flight emergency.

However, official information about the health of the 35-year-old hip-hop star is scant. Ross has downplayed concerns about his health- though both Diddy and Nicki Minaj among others have commented hoping he gets well- and insists that despite the two seizures he is okay.
